Terms of service
Last updated 2026-11-05
These terms cover your use of the Sold Elsewhere browser extension, website and service ("the Service"). By using the Service you agree to them.
What the Service does
Sold Elsewhere reads sale-notification emails that you choose to forward to your private address, and shows you alerts and links so you can end duplicate listings yourself. It does not log into, control or change your marketplace accounts.
Your responsibilities
- Only forward emails you're allowed to share with us.
- You remain responsible for your listings, orders and marketplace accounts, including ending listings in time.
- Don't misuse the Service: no attempts to break it, overload it, access other people's data or send it forged emails.
No guarantee of delivery
We work hard to deliver alerts quickly, but email forwarding, marketplace email formats and your browser can delay or prevent alerts. The Service is a helper, not a guarantee. We're not responsible for double sales, cancellations, fees or account penalties.
Plans and payment
The Free plan includes a monthly number of alerts. Pro is a paid subscription (monthly or yearly) sold and processed by Stripe (through its Link "Sold through" service), which acts as merchant of record and handles payment, sales tax and invoices. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. See our cancellation & refund policy. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice. Changes apply from your next renewal.
Your data
Our privacy policy explains what we store. You can delete your data at any time from the extension (Setup → Delete my data).
Changes and ending the Service
We may update the Service or these terms. If we make a significant change we'll update the date above and, for paying users, tell you by email. If we ever shut the Service down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and refund any unused prepaid time.
Liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.
