What we store and how to delete it
Exactly what Sold Elsewhere keeps, what it never sees, and how to delete everything.
What we keep
- From forwarded sale emails: the marketplace, item title, price and ship-by date. For marketplace emails we don’t recognise as sales, just the subject line (the last 20), so we can improve recognition. Not the email itself, and never buyer names, addresses or messages.
- Your inventory: titles, bins, SKUs, costs and listing links you add or import.
- Your plan: Free or Pro, plus your Stripe customer ID (no card details).
- Connected phones: a device name (“iPhone”) and the push address your phone’s browser gives us.
- Anonymous usage counts: for example “opened setup” or “clicked End on Poshmark”, to improve the product. No cookies, no IP addresses. The Firefox version sends none.
- Referrals: if you joined through a friend’s link, which link it was (so you both get rewards).
What we never do
- Read your inbox. We only see what your filter forwards.
- Log into your marketplace accounts or change your listings.
- Sell or share your data, or use it for ads.
Your account
There’s no username or password. The extension creates an anonymous account the first time it runs and keeps a secret key in your browser.
Delete everything
Extension → Setup → Delete my data (bottom of the page). This permanently deletes your account, inventory, alerts and connected phones, cancels any Pro subscription, and can’t be undone. Also remove the Gmail filter so marketplace emails stop being forwarded.
If you uninstall without deleting, your data is deleted automatically 90 days after uninstalling.
