Notifications aren't showing
Fix missing pop-ups on your computer or phone.
On your computer
- Mac: System Settings → Notifications → your browser (Chrome, Edge or Firefox) → Allow notifications, style Alerts (stays until dismissed).
- Windows: Settings → System → Notifications → your browser On. Turn off Do not disturb / Focus.
- The browser must be running (it can be minimized). For alerts when it’s closed, connect your phone.
- Click Send a test alert in Setup to check.
On iPhone / iPad
- The app must be opened from the Home Screen icon, not a Safari tab. See iPhone setup.
- Settings → Notifications → Sold Elsewhere → Allow Notifications on.
- A Focus mode may be hiding it: Settings → Focus → add Sold Elsewhere to allowed apps.
- Open the app and tap Send a test.
- Still nothing: in the app tap Disconnect this device, delete the Home Screen icon, and pair again.
On Android
- Settings → Apps → Chrome (or the installed Sold Elsewhere app) → Notifications on.
- Battery saver can delay notifications. Exclude Chrome from battery optimisation.
Did you turn them off?
Check Setup → 🔔 Notifications in the extension (or Notifications in the phone app): desktop pop-ups, phone sale alerts, ship reminders and the weekly summary each have a switch. See Notification settings.
Blocked by mistake?
If you tapped Don’t allow, the app shows “Notifications are blocked”. Re-enable them in the phone’s settings as above, then reopen the app.
