I'm not getting alerts
A 2-minute checklist that fixes almost every missing-alert problem.
First, check system status. If something is down on our side, alerts resume automatically once it’s fixed.
Otherwise, work through these in order. Most problems are step 1 or 2.
1. Is email reaching us?
Extension → Setup → look at Last email received.
- “never”: forwarding isn’t set up yet. Redo your provider’s guide: Gmail · Outlook · iCloud · Other.
- A time: email is arriving. Go to step 3.
2. Gmail only: is forwarding confirmed?
Gmail → ⚙ → See all settings → Forwarding and POP/IMAP. Your s-…@soldelsewhere.com address must be listed without “(unverified)”. If it’s unverified, see Gmail confirmation code. Then check your filter (⚙ → Filters and Blocked Addresses) has Forward to your address ticked.
3. Was the email a sale?
Under Setup, Marketplace emails we didn’t recognise as sales lists subjects we received but didn’t treat as sales. If a real sale shows there, email us the subject line and we’ll add it, usually within a day.
4. Are notifications allowed?
Click Send a test alert.
- The test appears in the Alerts tab but no desktop pop-up: allow notifications for your browser in your computer’s settings (how).
- Phone: see Notifications aren’t showing.
5. Free plan limit
If you’ve had 10 alerts this month on Free, new ones are locked until the 1st. See Free vs Pro.
6. Does the marketplace email you?
Check the marketplace’s notification settings: sale emails must be on, and sent to the email address you forward from.
Still stuck? Email us with your forwarding address (s-…). Never send your password.
